Born Aug 5 1976, Siauliai, Lithuania. In the years 1995-1998 and 2000-2002 Lina Pociene studied at Siauliai University,specialising in painting and teaching English. Her final dissertation on the art movements of "Art Nouveau" (Secession), strongly influenced her own work, especially such artists as Gustav Klimt, Aubrey Beardsley and Egon Schiele, She is also inspired by engravings of Albrecht Durer, Hieronymous Bosch and Japanese Ukiyo-e.
After 6 years of work experience at school, in 2004 Lina left her career as an art and English language tutor and settled in Vilnius, starting her career as an interior designer. In 2008, together with a sculptor Vygintas Adomavicius, she establishes an open art studio in the old town of Vilnius. Since this time Lina spends her time painting, developing interior design projects and teaching children art and English.
